The ongoing “Maid of Lough Erne” Kesh Festival Programme 2014 is serving up a feast of entertainment in Kesh and its environs.

Tonight, Wednesday’s activities include Old Crocks’ Football, while tomorrow evening, Thursday, treasurer hunters are looking forward to The Big Treasure Hunt.

An entertaining weekend lies ahead with Hugo Duncan and guests participating in a BBC Radio Ulster live broadcast on Friday afternoon, August 15, and there will be It’s a Knock Out and Tug o’ War events that evening.

Saturday’s attractions include fancy dress, ‘The Aul Farmers Market,’ a duck derby, soapbox race and Lisa McHugh performing live in the marquee. Concluding attractions this Sunday feature a golf tournament, a Disney family afternoon cruise, the annual raft race, a Service of Thanksgiving and also The Whistlin Donkeys’ finale night.

All in all, it is proving a busy spell in Kesh, where last Saturday night all roads led to the Big Marquee as the Maid of Lough Erne team presented Strictly Come Dancing. The occasion was the opening evening for this year’s Festival, when the 2014 Maid of Lough Erne, Emer McMulkin from Kesh was unveiled.
