A 25-year-old man accused of attacking and robbing a woman in a shop in Rosslea has appeared before a Preliminary Enquiry at Fermanagh Court.

Michal Blazejewski (above), of Tully, Monaghan, is charged with assaulting Veronica McArdle, occasioning her actual bodily harm, and robbing her of 400 euro. He is further charged with assaulting Brendan Sherry.

The three offences were allegedly committed on March 28.

Blazejewski stood in the dock as the clerk of the court asked him if he wished to say anything in answer to the charges. Speaking through an interpreter, Blazejewski replied: “No.” Asked if he wished to give evidence or call any witnesses, he again replied: “No.” He was remanded in custody for trial at Dungannon Crown Court on September 16.
