UUP leader Mike Nesbitt was among mourners at St. Macartin's Cathedral in Enniskillen this afternoon at the funeral for former Minister for the Environment Sam Foster.
The 82-year-old died on Tuesday. He had suffered from Parkinson's disease for a number of years.
Politicians from every political party attended the service, including many Councillors who had served with Mr. Foster in Fermanagh District Council. Mr Foster had been a Councillor for 30 years.
Former leader of the UUP David Trimble attended as did Fermanagh south Tyrone MP Michelle Gildernew.
Mourners were led by Mr. Foster's widow Dorothy. She was accompanied by their children Mervyn, Helen and David and a wide family circle.
They heard Mr. Foster's son Mervyn pay tribute to his father.
The Rev. Rob Clements spoke of Mr. Foster's love of family and told mourners that Sam Foster was more than the sum of his achievements.
A private burial will take place later this afternoon.
