The McMahon Healthcare Fermanagh SFC final will be the battle of the Shamrocks after Teemore saw off Devenish today at Brewster Park to set up a clash with holders Roslea.

Teemore entered the semi-final with the underdogs tag but they put a disappointing league campaign, which saw them relegated to Division Two, behind them to claim a three point victory.

The opening period was an even encounter with the sides sharing the first six points.

John O'Flanagan registered all three of Devenish's scores during this spell, two of which came from frees, while Teemore had points from Ciaran Fitzpatrick, Declan O'Reilly and Joey Donegan.

As the half progressed though Teemore began to get on top with Barry Owens an influential figure around the middle third.

Full forward Gerry Quinlan had a goal chance but saw his shot saved by Devenish goalkeeper Thomas Treacy although Teemore were not to be denied in the 21st minute when Ciaran Fitzpatrick tucked the ball into the net after a surging run from the left.

When Eoin McManus then converted a free from distance it put four between the sides although Devenish responded with points from Darren Brady and a Chris O'Brien free.

The last say of the half though was to Teemore as Declan Fitzpatrick landed a fine effort to leave Teemore leading 1-05 to 0-05 at the break.

Chris O'Brien lofted over a free to open the scoring for Devenish in the second half but Eoin McManus (free) and Jason McCaffrey replied for Teemore to stretch the Shamrocks advantage to four.

Devenish though hit back with four of the next five points as they cut the gap back to one, O'Flanagan (2) and O'Brien (2) the scorers for the Garrison men with Ryan Maguire accounting for the Teemore point during this period, the Shamrocks also seeing Eoin McManus kick three frees wide as the momentum appeared to be swinging Devenish's way.

However, McManus showed great character to step up and thump over a 40m free to put two in it again with five minutes to go and substitute John Fitzpatrick then fired over an excellent score in added on time as Teemore saw out the victory to book their final spot.
