A date for the relocation of Forest Service Headquarters to Enniskillen has finally been confirmed by Agriculture Minister Michelle O’Neill.
The Minister told Fermanagh-south Tyrone MLA Phil Flanagan on Tuesday that the move to Inishkeen House in Enniskillen is expected to take place by June 2015.
65 staff in total will be moved to Fermanagh, though Minister O’Neill has said her Department is considering the viability of relocating more Forest Service staff.
“The first phase of that work is complete, and it has been confirmed that Inishkeen House can potentially accommodate more staff.
“The indications are that, with an internal redesign, Forest Service headquarters staff could be accommodated there. I am very pleased with that, and I assure the Member that we are on target and working very hard to be able to deliver the project and for staff to be there by June next year,” she said.
“It is good to get good news here the odd time,” said Mr. Flanagan.
