A 27-year-old drug addict accused of unlawfully possessing heroin and having it with the intention of supplying to someone else has been remanded in custody.
Stephen Herarty appeared in the dock at Fermanagh Court charged with unlawful possession of the Class A drug and having it with intent to supply it to another.
He is also accused of obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty.
The three offences were allegedly committed on September 19.
He also faces a fourth charge, that three years ago, on October 1, 2011, he was in unlawful possession of heroin.
Herarty, from Finner, Ballyshannon, spoke only to confirm that he understood the charges.
A police officer told the court she was aware of the facts of the case and believed she could connect Herarty with the charges.
Defence solicitor Bernard Corrigan told the court Herarty was not applying to be released on bail.
He asked that the authorities at Maghaberry Prison be made aware that Herarty is a heroin addict and has been receiving treatment in the Republic of Ireland.
Herarty was remanded in custody to appear again on October 13, by video link from the prison.
