Talented Irish dancer Colum Higgins, from Fermanagh, has the world at his feet! The nine-year-old excelled at the recent All Ireland Championships and now he is getting all set for the World Championships in Canada next year.

The young dancer from Belcoo, who dances with the Tahany Academy Dancing School, won a silver and a bronze medal in the All Ireland Irish Dancing Championships at Citywest, Dublin, which attracted competitors from around the world. Colum qualified to dance in the World Championships in Montreal next Easter.

A son of Martin and Elma Higgins, the schoolboy has been dancing for about four years, and next up for him will be the Ulster Championships later this month, November. After that it will be the countdown to Canada and his biggest event to date for Colum.
