EMPLOYEES in Fermanagh earn the least amount of money in the whole of Northern Ireland.
The average salary in the county is around £15,853 per year before tax which is just above the basic cost of living, according to Finance Minister Simon Hamilton.
The figures, obtained by TUV leader and MLA Jim Allister, show that a short distance away in West Tyrone the average salary is £17,066 whereas in south Belfast it is £23,095, considerably more than what most employees in Fermanagh are earning.
