POLICE are advising businesses in Fermanagh to be wary of a scam that was reported to officers last Thursday.
According to the report, a business owner was contacted by a male claiming to be from an organisation called Police Motor Division on Thursday morning.
The male asked the owner for an annual subscription fee in return for advertising in their publication and the possibility of the organisation holding various functions and conferences at the owner’s premises.
Inspector Roy Robinson said, “Police in Fermanagh would like to advise business owners that this is a scam and if they are contacted by anyone purporting to be from this organisation to contact police immediately on 101.”
