A “long lasting business partnership” between Liberty Insurance and Teleperformance has begun at Enniskillen’s Carran Business Park office.

Liberty’s recent withdrawal from the personal motor insurance market in Great Britain and Northern Ireland resulted in the company cutting 270 jobs in Ireland, with 210 to remain in the Enniskillen office. That office and staff has now been transferred to Teleperformance, which will service and sell to Liberty customers under the Liberty brand but through an outsourced contract.

Teleperformance Northern Ireland Operations Director Stepehen Morrow was in Enniskillen this week, marking the official transition of Liberty staff into Teleperformance.

Teleperformance bid for the Enniskillen contract because “Liberty Insurance offers Teleperformance a great brand and a natural company alignment, which in turn creates a foundation for a long lasting business partnership,” Mr. Morrow tells The Impartial Reporter.

“Teleperformance can offer Liberty Insurance a wealth of customer management experience and expertise particularly from within the Financial and Insurance sectors,” he adds.

Outlining Teleperformance’s “expansion plan”, Mr. Morrow states: “Our initial focus has been to ensure a seamless transition of Liberty Insurance colleagues to Teleperformance which has concluded successfully on August 17. Our expansion plan will be to entail the engagement of new clients through our UK Sales and Business Development teams now that we have been able to formally announce the availability of the Enniskillen centre.” Asked to comment on Liberty Chief Executive Tom McIlduff’s comment that they would bring “hundreds of new jobs” to Enniskillen, Mr. Morrow replies: “The Enniskillen Centre and facility brings additional capacity to our UK and most notably Northern Ireland Operation. The Teleperformance Northern Ireland business has been extremely successful over the last decade, building long tenured client partnerships and growing our business of 400 colleagues to a peak in 2,400 in 2014.

“It will be our intention to market this additional capacity in Enniskillen and to continue to expand the footprint for Teleperformance in Northern Ireland, most notably through our Enniskillen centre.” Alistair Niederer, Chief Executive of Teleperformance UK and South Africa, has said: “We are delighted to be working with Liberty Insurance and we are particularly looking forward to working with the strong management team and staff at the contact centre in Enniskillen. We are proud or our outstanding employee track record in Northern Ireland and it will be a pleasure to welcome staff in Enniskillen to the Teleperformance family as we extend our operations locally.” Teleperformance has been established in Northern Ireland since 2000 and employs over 2,000 people across its two sites in Bangor and Newry providing customer experience management services to well known national and international companies and public sector clients.

Teleperformance, the worldwide leader in outsourced multichannel customer experience management, serves companies around the world with customer care, technical support, customer acquisition and debt collection programs.
