Dear Madam - I’m writing on behalf of Age NI, the leading charity for older people in Northern Ireland, to encourage your readers to get involved in some exciting volunteer opportunities that are coming up in Enniskillen.

On Saturday, September 26, between 10am and 6pm, join us for a collection at the Tesco Enniskillen Superstore. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to offer a couple of hours of their time during the day to help raise money for people in later life who need it most. This is a province-wide fundraising event taking place in participating Tesco stores throughout Northern Ireland.

We’re recruiting new ‘Partnership Ambassadors’ volunteers, aged 50 and over, to promote Step by Step, an innovative project, in partnership with Danske Bank, Townhall Street, Enniskillen that introduces alternative ways of banking to older customers, offering choice and building confidence on how to bank. New volunteers will be invited to attend an information and training workshop on Tuesday, September 15, from 11.30am to 4pm, at Danske Bank, Donegall Square West, Belfast prior to starting their role. Please sign up by Friday, September 4.

We will also be hosting a Silver Surfers workshop on September 15, at the Danske Bank, Belfast location from 1.30pm to 4pm for those who wish to learn about the internet.

Please note there are no requirements to volunteer in order to participate.

To get involved as a volunteer, to attend the computer training workshop, or for more information, please call 028 9024 5729 or email stacey.lee@ageni.org Thank you for your support!

Yours faithfully, Stacey Lee Trimble Age NI Volunteer Coordinator
