Dear Madam, - At last! The DUP in Fermanagh have seen the light! Given the efforts that they are going to seek Ulster Unionists candidates for the Westminster elections is a final recognition that the only way to get rid of the current absentee incumbent is to unite behind the Ulster Unionist team in Fermanagh. The ultimate goal is to replace Sinn Fein with an Ulster Unionist who will actively represent all of Fermanagh in Westminster.
The only down side is that there is a campaign of ‘Anyone but Tom’. I hope that some unionists will not renew their 2001 campaign that provided the opportunity for Sinn Fein to win and hold the seat for 14 years.
What a great story that would be both for Fermanagh and the rest of the country! The most westerly constituency of the UK back in Unionist hands. Roll on May 7. Get Tom Elliott in.
