Glentoran 2 Ballinamallard 1
Nine man Ballinamallard were denied by two goals in the final quarter against Glentoran at the Oval tonight.
With the Mallards leading through a Sean Mackle goal referee Ian McNabb controversially sent off Ballinamallard goalkeeper Richard Brush just before half time, and with no goalkeeper on the bench James McKenna took over between the posts.
The Mallards though stood firm until the the 68th minute when Willie Garrett levelled for the home side from a disputed corner.
And then with five minutes to go Curtis Allen swept home the winner for the Glens after which Davy Kee was given his marching orders for remonstrating with the referee to leave the Mallards frustrated on the night.
