Ballinamallard United manager Whitey Anderson has moved to strengthen his attacking options with the signing of striker Seamus Quigley from Clones Town.

The Mallards are waiting on international clearance for the 22 year old forward and Anderson feels that he will be a good addition to his squad as they look to push up the Ladbrokes.com Championship table.

Quigley is well known in GAA circles in Fermanagh as a high scoring forward with his club Roslea and has previously been part of Malachy O'Rourke's Fermanagh squad.

The Mallards have not been as prolific as they had been last season having lost Paul Baron and Ryan Campbell in the summer although Andy Crawford has still been in good goal scoring form while Darren Higginbotham has also impressed.

Quigley recently bagged a hat-trick for Clones Town and Anderson will be hoping that he can bring something different to the squad from the strikers that are already at the club.

"Not only is he a big strong centre forward but he has two good feet and a reputation of scoring goals. Hopefully he will add something to the squad," stated the Mallards manager.

Meanwhile, Ballinamallard will return to league action this Saturday after their on-off clash with Donegal Celtic in Belfast was confirmed as going ahead on Wednesday morning.

DC are currently third in the table but a win for the Mallards on Saturday would lift them to within three points of their opponents with two games in hand.
