Enniskillen’s Greg Kelly will take over the Chairman’s position from Patsy Dolan at this Monday night’s Convention in Enniskillen.
Dolan has to step down after completing his five year term as Chairman and with Kelly the only nominee for the post, the Enniskillen Gaels clubman will succeed Dolan in the role.
Kelly will be stepping up from the Vice-Chairman post with Brian Armitage and Phil Flanagan vying for that post.
Other than that though there is set to be very little change at the top table although the Coaching Officer position is one that will have to be filled with Deirdre Donnelly stepping down after serving out her five years in the post.
There will also be a contest for the Ulster Council delegates with Brian Armitage, Patsy Dolan, Vincent Martin and Jim Tummon competing for the two slots.
There will be a number of Motions that will be brought forward to delegates at Monday night’s Convention.
Belnaleck have proposed a Motion regarding starred games which states: For starred Senior Division 1 & 2 games CCC shall fix pairings in such a way that clubs with a similar number of senior panellists shall play each other. Similarly teams without county panellists shall be paired to play each other. These shall be the first planned, in advance, by CCC.
Belnaleck also proposed a change to the format of the JFC with the four team competition to be played on a round robin basis with the top two teams qualifying for the final.
Devenish have proposed that the top four and bottom four play offs in the league are abolished and instead the top two teams in Division One and Two contest the final while the bottom two teams in Division One are relegated.
Erne Gaels have proposed a change in the knock-out system in the SFC, IFC and JFC which will see it replaced with a mini league system. In the SFC and IFC the eight teams will be split into two groups of four with the top two in each progressing to the semi-finals while the third and fourth placed teams in each group will go to the relegation finals (SFC) and the relegation semi-finals (IFC).
Tempo have also brought proposals forward concerning league and championship.
In terms of the league they propose that in Division One the top four teams contest the league semi-finals while the bottom team is automatically relegated. The second bottom team will then play the team that loses the Division Two final in a promotion/relegation play-off.
In Division Two they suggest that the ten sides play each other twice with no half way split. The top two teams will then contest the Division Two final with the winner promoted and the runner up taking on the second from bottom team in Division One in a promotion/relegation play-off.
Tempo also propose that only one team is relegated from the SFC instead of two.
