PATRICK Kielty needs our ‘Help’ in his new stand-up show tonight (Thursday), The Ronnie Greer Blues Band will be joined by the very talented Matt McGinn in the Gallery Bar on Friday and for The Ardhowen’s younger audience, Goldilicks has a very sticky afternoon with ‘The Three Bears’ on Saturday.

PATRICK KIELTY - HELP Patrick Kielty knows nothing. And he needs your help! Dundrum’s finest returns to The Ardhowen with the first run of his new stand up show ‘Help’ tonight at 8pm. Join the former psychology graduate as he attempts to rewrite his rules for love, life and happiness. While studying at Queen’s, Kielty began his stand-up career, quickly making a name for himself at Belfast’s first comedy club, The Empire Laughs Back, with his satirical routines poking fun at politicians, police and paramilitaries alike. But times have moved on and now a happily married man, Patrick is feeling pretty blessed, but he’s still not sure he’s got all the answers. In his new stand-up show he visits these topics and takes the opportunity to discuss them, in his own inimitable, close-to-the-edge style, with the audience. This show may contain adult reference and is suitable for over 16s only.

THE RONNIE GREER BLUES BAND The Ardhowen welcomes back blues legend Ronnie Greer and his band for another blistering night of rhythm and blues in the Gallery Bar on Friday at 9pm. Ronnie wrings the last drop of emotion out of his guitar work, while still keeping the toes tapping. His distinctive guitar style, melding searing Chicago style licks with be-bop jazz inflections, has been critically acclaimed as world class. His band, comprising of keyboard wizard John McCullough, bass player Alan Hunter and drummer Colm Fitzpatrick, will be accompanied by special guest, singer/songwriter, Matt McGinn. Expect a night of blues, roots, and a little jazz based music, played with style and conviction by the best in the business.

THE THREE BEARS Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre presents a delightful children’s production, suitable for children aged three to seven years. In ‘The Three Bears’ on Saturday at 3pm, the metal world of Goldilicks meets the lovely natural wooden world of the Three Bears - the result, a very sticky adventure all round. Happily they become friends and cook up the most wonderful porridgy recipe together. The cook Steve, bakes in the kitchen and finds time to tell a wonderful story using kitchen implements in a very intriguing and unusual way.

MICKY BARTLETT IS NARCISSILLY!

Following the success of his last show ‘Not Even Sorry’, Micky Bartlett brings his 2015 Edinburgh Festival show ‘Narcissilly’ to The Ardhowen on Thursday, June 11, at 8pm. It sounds like a clever show title, but really it’s just an excuse for Micky to talk about himself. Fresh from supporting Tommy Tiernan at the Waterfront and opening for Jack Whitehall and Miranda Hart in London, Micky returns to Enniskillen for confessional comedy full of wicked laughs!

ULSTER PROJECT ANNUAL CONCERT On Friday, June 12, at 8pm the Ulster Project Annual Concert features young people from both sides of the community who come together for various educational and recreational activities including a Summer residential in the USA. This variety show highlights these talented young people in an evening of music, singing, sketches and dance.

THE AOIFE DOYLE BAND Moving On Music presents The Aoife Doyle Band on Saturday, June 13, at 9pm in the Gallery Bar. Listening to the unique voice of Aoife Doyle will leave you in no doubt that you are in the presence of a major new vocal talent. Her expressive voice is equally at home with jazz, folk, country, bluegrass or blues, and her singing can evoke memories of the sophisticated, velvet tones of Ella Fitzgerald, the earthy, sweet lyricism of Patsy Cline or the straight-up country clarity of Alison Krauss.

Formed in 2010, The Aoife Doyle Band has travelled the length and breadth of Ireland performing to critical acclaim. Featuring Phil Ware on piano, Dan Bodwell on double bass and Dominic Mullan on drums, their debut album ‘This Time The Dream’s On Me’ was released in August 2013 and has received widespread critical acclaim featuring regularly on Lyric FM’s ‘Blue of the Night’ and ‘Jazz Alley’ as well as Dublin City FM’s ‘Night Train’. With established artists such as Sinead O’Connor already inviting Aoife to share the stage it is clear that this artist is definitely one to catch in a concert.
