IRVINESTOWN Dramatic Society return over the course of this year’s Lady of the Lake festival with a new play: ‘50 Shades of Acre’.

Written and directed by Ted Maye, Irvinestown’s answer to Mel Brooks, this is Ted’s 21st production.

He is the only original cast member left.

The scene for the play is set in shade acres -- a house and lands inherited by Norris Ramsey from an uncle he never met. Along with his good fortune comes the sudden apearance of a brother he never knew existed.

A dodgy housekeeper, mistaken identity and ghostly goings on are as clear as mud for Norris.

It’s night time and sinister happenings are afoot. Noris is witness to some bizarre events -- it’s a pity nobody else sees or believes the traumatic time he is experiencing.

A lady of the night drops by, a good samaritan and a barking dog. Will Norris survive the night?

The two act farce will be performed on Sunday night at 7.30pm and on Tuesday, July 14, again at 7.30pm.
