THE Monsters of Rot festival returns to The Halfway Inn, Letterbreen, for its fourth installment on August 16.

The main stage this year will be sponsored by Planetmosh, in a bid to promote and grow the festival. The Planetmosh Stage will feature metal, sludge, punk and more, from top acts including Overoth, Coldwar, Putrefy and F**khammer.

Death Metal Band, Overoth, hailing from Belfast, formed in late 2005 by four friends with a raw passion for no frills Death Metal.

The band have been wreaking havoc across the Irish, UK and mainland Europe scenes since the release of their first demo ‘Pathway To Demise’ and as the focal point of the band’s existence, Overoth’s tight, energetic and exciting live performances have gained them the quick respect of the many bands they have shared the stage with including Bolt Thrower, Unleashed, Massacre and Hail Of Bullets.

Enniskillen band, Setting Off Sirens, are also part of the line-up for the festival.

With a sound that blends American hardcore with contemporary music such as Placebo, their high octane performances are a roller coaster from start to finish. The band have supported bands such as Subhumans, Abrasive Wheels and the Beat in the past.

Last year was the first incarnation of the Monsters of Rot festival not to feature NOISE, but in a bid to revive the original spirit of the festival, organisers are going one step further and dedicating an entire stage to it this year.

Last year the festical enjoyed over 200 attendees.

This year organisers are expecting over 300.
