KNOCKS Drama Group return to the Ardhowen Theatre with their play, ‘I Do Not Like Thee Dr. Fell’.

Written by Irish playwright Bernard Farrell, it is a fast paced comedy that deals with some serious topics.

Over the course of a single night Roger (a pseudo-intellectual), Peter and Maureen (a couple with some marital issues), Rita (an elderly cat lover) and Joe (as strange as they come) take part in a therapy session run by Suzy Bernstein (an American with a big personality) and are brought face to face with their own histories and neuroses with some hilarious and disastrous results.

Thus exposed, the company must learn to face up to the stark reality of their inner selves if they want to even survive until morning!

Directed by Marty McManus, the play takes place at the Ardhowen on Thursday, September 10, and Friday, September 11.

“It has been a pleasure working with this group of actors in preparation for their performances in Dr Fell,” says Marty, “They have grasped the opportunity and challenge, to individually and collectively enhance their skills and abilities beyond their experiences to date.

“I hope you enjoy the show tonight as the performers demonstrate their versatility and talent.

Thank you to everyone who helped with this production.”
